A roundup of all the 2017 nominees that are #poweredbybento

The James Beard Awards, also known as the “the Oscars of the food and beverage industry,” are a huge honor for chefs, restaurateurs, and all those who participate in the culinary industry. The awards originally started to memorialize iconic author and cooking teacher James Beard, and are now the most coveted honor in the restaurant world. Anyone can nominate a business for each of the 21 categories, and after receiving over 24,000 entries this year, the list was narrowed down to five finalists in each category.

The James Beard Awards Gala will take place on Monday, May 1st at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. We want to congratulate everyone nominated and send extra love to all of those who are #poweredbybento. Check the list below to see all of the BentoBox semifinalists selected for a James Beard Award this year!
